Facilities at the Yorkshire Event Centre

Our aim is to ensure that all visitors enjoy a good experience whilst at our venue. The Yorkshire Event Centre support the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and endeavour to provide an equitable service to all.

Car Parking

We are lucky to have enough space to offer free parking to all visitors and the most suitable areas available are always set aside for blue badge holders.

Accessibility

Both our exhibition halls have ramp access at both the front and rear of the halls. All the steps into the halls have handrails fitted and door vision panels have been fitted. Once inside the halls, all floors are level offering unobstructed access.

Most of our outdoor areas are accessible and help is available. We have an upgrading programme in place making adaptations throughout the site.

Toilets

Accessible toilets and baby change facilities are available within the ladies and gents toilets in Hall 1. In Hall 2 there is a unisex accessible toilet and baby change facilities.

External toilet blocks are sometimes used depending on the event taking place. In all instances accessible toilets will be provided when a toilet block is opened for general use.

Café

The Café is situated between both halls with completely flat access from either hall. It has also been fitted with slip resistant flooring. Service staff are on hand should you require assistance. Patio seating at the rear of the café is available during the summer and there is a ramp for wheelchair users.

Sound Policy

We have an ongoing programme of sound enhancement. At the moment we have portable induction loops that can be used in ticket kiosks or in the meeting rooms.
