It is equally important that the suppliers we use support our preferred solutions. We continue to talk to our suppliers and stakeholders to retain the importance of our sustainable focus across site.
Just a few of the things we are doing include:
- Timber used across site is sourced from sustainable stocks
- Exhibition carpet is from recycled sources, and is also then recycled post event
- All temporary event staff employed are locally based
- Our waste management company have maintained emission levels of 0.15 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of waste handled, and site restoration plans are in place
- Our caterers are committed to ensuring ingredients are locally sourced, and organic and fair trade products are used when possible.
- Where disposable crockery is neccessary all stocks are recycled and bio-degradable
- Jugs of water with glassware are used during conferences rather than individual plastic bottles
